The carboxitherapy consists of the infiltration of CO₂ into tissue for therapeutic reasons.

The consequences of increasing CO₂ concentration at the puncture site are:

  • Increased blood flow and therefore a hyper oxygenation of the tissue. This is one of the most important and obvious consequences, which is important for the improvement in tissue metabolism leading to collagen formation improving the thickness and colouration of the skin.
  • Arteriolar vasodilation.
  • Drainage of the extracellular medium.
  • Stimulation of pluripotent stem cells.
  • Lipolytic action, i.e. reduction of fat tissue.

What is it for?

Due to this hyperoxigenation of the tissue, it has beneficial effects in different areas

Aesthetic medicine:

  • Cellulite: As the circulation is altered by the oxygenation of the fatty tissue when carboxitherapy is applied, the tissue is normalized in a few sessions
  • Pre and Post Liposuction
  • Dark circles: greatly diminishes the violet coloration
  • Flaccidity
  • Stretch marks
  • Aesthetic improvement of scars
  • Facial rejuvenation as well as cleavage, body and hands etc

  • Alopecia
  • Psoriasis
  • Acne
  • Pre and postoperative skin grafts

Other medical specialties, such as sports medicine, use it for muscular contractures, in rheumatology for arthritis and osteoarthritis, and in angiology for varicose ulcers.
