PNIE – Psychoneuroimmunoendocrinology
What does it consist of?
PNIE is a discipline where groups of specialist professionals and researchers study many areas of health such as: neurosciences, immunology, physiology, pharmacology, biochemistry, psychiatry, psychology, rheumatology, neurology, endocrinology, etc.
PNIE studies the interactions between behavior, the brain, the immune system and the endocrine system and its body regulation mechanisms.
Among the different components of our body there must be a perfect intercommunication to function harmonically as a whole. The alteration of any of the communication channels between these systems will produce an imbalance that will result in discomfort or even disease. Consequently, although a pathology is fundamentally present in an organ, this intercommunication will cause the alteration of the rest of the body.
Through the modification of certain eating and drinking habits, we allow the body to self-regulate effectively by improving the quality of life and preventing diseases. A correct and personalized diet will contribute to good functioning of body and mind, improving reactions and behavior to the different situations in life.
